PectaSol is formulated in a way that allows it to penetrate into the blood stream, where it can bind to the surface of cancer cells. This bound modified citrus pectin prevents the cancer cells from sticking to each other, which may interfere with their growth cycle and and may even block their ability to adhere to new sites in the body.
Pectasol has been shown in human clinical trial results to effect a significant slowing of PSA doubling time among prostate cancer patients. 86 percent of the patients in the initial clinical trial either stabilized or had a significant positive response.
